We were extremely lucky to have a chance to chat a bit about dating and romance and were given a few very valuable tips to help sort out the “do’s” and “dont’s” of dating.
1. Both Rachel and Destin said the number one “DONT DO” is get drunk on a first date. A two drink maximum has to be maintained no matter what.
2. Look your best, but looking your best DOESN”T mean dressing like a whore. Have confidence.
3. Don’t go Dutch. Women, let the man pay for the dinner.
4. Take it back to the 1950′s. Chivalry needs to come back into style. Gentlemen, open the doors for the ladies. Take your cues from an earlier era’s when men treated women like ladies and ladies acted like ladies.
5. Women, if you are wanting to be open and available, do not travel around in packs. Men get intimidated and you are less likely to meet someone that way. Make yourself accesible. Take a book and go out and eat or have a drink. Don’t be afraid to be out there NOT surrounded by your girlfriends. It makes you more approachable.
Destin and Rachel seemed so very compatible with each other as they were giving us their sage advice.
