Genre icon, Tony Todd has done many things in his illustrious career in film, from an early stint in Platoon to being catapulted to the horror genre with films like, The Candyman, The Crow, Night of the Living Dead (’90), Wishmaster, the Hatchet films and many of the Final Destination films. That’s just naming a short few.
There is something that Tony Todd has never really ventured into, and Variety have the scoop. According to the site Tony Todd will make his directorial debut by writing and directing the upcoming film Catalytic.
The film is for the newly formed production company Assembly Line, the indie flick centres on “a magician as he embarks on a road trip during an impending supernatural apocalypse.”
Lets just put this out there, anything with the word, “apocalypse” has me hooked, throw in a magician and I’m first in line for this one. ![]()
The upcoming indie flick is currently casting and is the first of their films to be written by someone outside of their managing members.
Todd joins Saxton, Pfaff and Fischer among the helming ranks of Assembly Line’s upcoming slate.
