I have never been to Comic-Con. I have always wanted to want to go, but my fear of people and crowds have kept me from indulging. Plus hearing about the overpriced hotels, parking, bad food and smelly cos-play characters roaming around – I just never had that burning desire bright enough in me to overcome my perceived negatives.

Well this year, I had no choice … I had a movie to promote! So off to Comic-Con… for four days… gulp!

Day 1: Drove there with my assistant Dave. No traffic … nice! Went to our press suite for “Sushi Girl” – all of our display items were there, promo models on time and PR company kicking ass. NICE. Went out to a few parties – got waved in everywhere. NICE!

Day 2: All of our actors are on time for our press tour for “Sushi Girl” – Mark Hamill, Tony Todd, James Duval, Noah Hathaway, Jeff Fahey, Andy Mackenzie, Cortney Palm, Ted Stryker, David Dastmalchian … as well as the producing team of myself, Kern Saxton, Neal Fischer and Suren M. Seron. That night, our “Sushi Girl” movie panel was beyond capacity with thousands turned away, followed by our very own after party that was a HUGE SUCCESS.

Day 3: Hungover, but HAPPY. All of our actors have been signing at our booth bright eyed and bushy tailed. That night, parties galore and once again waved in everywhere we went!

Day 4: Finally got to play in the Con. Got some freebies and saw some cool booths.  Did an interview with my favorite horror magazine. Signed at our booth for a little while. Left to no traffic to happily go home to my fiancé and son. In summary, I was wrong about the Con. It was amazing, not overpriced, not smelly and succeeded in even further solidifying the amazing relationship I have with the cast and crew of my film “Sushi Girl.” This movie blew Comic-Con away, and hopefully will soon blow audiences everywhere away! THANK YOU COMIC-CON!

Oh … one thing. The food did suck
