Today is the annual celebration of rose petals, chocolate-covered strawberries, silk sheets, naughty negligees, lacy lingerie, proposals and engagement rings and more weddings than in any other place on Earth.

The actual “I Do” ceremonies will translate into the thousands, with one wedding chapel already announcing that it will have 10 ministers on hand to perform the matrimonial services around the clock for 24 consecutive hours. Photographers are traveling in from as far as Phoenix and Sacramento to meet the wedding day deluge.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian leads the star parade for Valentine’s Day here with her own party at Marquee at The Cosmopolitan tonight. My bet is that she’ll wear red. The stunning slit-to-here gold gown she wore last night on the Grammy Awards red carpet was a knockout.

No new Mr. Right is expected on her arm because it was brother Robert Kardashian Jr. who escorted her last night in L.A. In her dare-to-bare dress, she admitted that she struggled to get into it. The CNN video of her arrival was posted on YouTube.

Meantime, splurge this Valentine’s Day with a romance package at The Mirage. Love Starts Here is a $41,000 wonder for a weeklong sensual session with ’round the clock butler service of ultimate luxury and decadence. The package includes lavish high roller suites, Rolls Royce transportation, assisting headliner Terry Fator onstage, meeting Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles Love performers backstage, being a Siegfried & Roy dolphin trainer for a day and igniting The Mirage volcano.

The incredible offering not only impresses, but also wins bragging rights for years to come. And any girl will say the all-important “yes” instantly. Don’t fret if you can’t surprise the partner of your dreams with it today because it’s available through April 30.

Perhaps the most unique gift to give or treat yourself to is the opportunity to “Marry Clooney.” Yes, you and your friends can pose alongside the wax model of handsome superstar George Clooney at Madame Tussauds at The Venetian and walk away with two professional photos of you and the devilish and debonair dilettante.

Valentine’s kicked off over the weekend with Holly Madison’s Desire party at Tryst at the Wynn on Saturday night, and last night, Destin Pfaff and Rachel Federoff of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker hosted A Match Made at Lavo as the ultimate single ladies event. The real-life couple and co-stars dined at the Italian eatery at the Palazzo before heading upstairs to the boutique nightclub.

Single ladies registered to become a part of the Millionaire’s Club and had the opportunity to win a consultation with the matchmaking pair. After a visit to DJ Vice’s booth, the couple held court at a VIP table taking photos with fans throughout the night. Julian and Rohan Marley, sons of reggae legend Bob Marley, also were at Lavo and posed for photographs with fans.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody!
