New Season New Me…

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Everyone knows me as “COO Destin Pfaff’s receptionist fiancée, girl wrangler, Director of Registration, blah blah blah.” Well here’s the REAL TRUTH…yes I work with Patti and yes Destin too and yes we are engaged and have a son. I originally started with Millionaires Club as the Director of Registration handling all the girls that came in and getting them registered with us. As time went on Patti saw I had a knack for matching and dubbed me a matchmaker as well. In addition, I approached her to try doing matchmaking for the LGBT community in which I’m a HUGE advocate for and have been a part of for years. She loved the idea and thus made me head of our new gay division. A season later, and with Chelsea sailing away, I got promoted to VP of Matching. People ask…”Do you love what you do?” My answer: Very much so! There’s nothing more awesome than finding people love. I mean that’s one of the soul purposes in life right? It’s not an easy job that’s for sure but worth the blood, sweat, and tears in the end. Love is one of the main cogs in the machine of life.

I admire you strength on the show and your individuality. I am trying to teach my young girls, ages 7 and 8 to have self confidence. As woman, we know this can be hard sometimes. My youngest daughter was recently diagnosed with a 20 degree at age seven for scoliosis. This means, with her particular curve, she needs to wear a Milwaukee brace from below her lower back all the way up to her neck. She has always been a confident child, but this is her first year at school with the brace… and… taking a bus with older kids who can be bossy and direct the other children on how to think about other kids on the bus. Since you have a child, I’m sure you understand my sadness in wishing that kids aren’t mean to her for being different. Well, again, I really appreciate you and admire you’re style and strength. If you ever can come to Massachusetts, it would be a real eye opener to Ainslie’s elementary school to learn about scoliosis with YOU as someone who talks about it. It would be great too, because you could talk to the kids about how to be ladies’ and gentlemen. We live in a small town, where most of us know each other and the kids are basically really sweet and super appreciative of people like you who take time to teach them about something new. And, they really take that type of info and learn it for life. We aren’t LA LA land people here, so we wouldn’t make for a good show, but we are really nice and I can say that about EVERYONE in this town. Maybe we are redneck, but we are good people who appreciate help from professionals who teach our kids things they may not have learned from us. I know we won’t hear from you, because tons of people are reaching out to you, but we love you here and that is something I wanted to thank you for in setting an example for our kids. Being yourself… and taking correction without taking it personally. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! Hugs, Megan, Joe, Savannah and Ainslie xoxoxo
